    Hi,
I would like to know if we can use phono mobile to make a call from browser. I understand that iOS neither support flash nor Java applet but I see "Click-to-Call" as a feature of Phono mobile. Is it really click to call or Request a call back? I mean, is it possible for me to call directly from a browser without requesting the operator/agent to callme back?

Yes, Phono is *really* what click-to-call is supposed to be. User clicks a button on a webpage or in a mobile app and the browser/app connects to a phone number of SIP address instantly using VoIP.

Use Phono for web browsers and Phono Mobile for iOS and Android apps.

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply, in that case, can I use our own SIP server for the calls or am I limited to use Tropo? I would also be happy if you let me how "Click-to-call" is made possible as Apple doesnt support the browser to access the Hardware.

Yes, Phone can "dial" any SIP address.

In order to run Phono on iOS and Android devices, you will need to use our Phono Mobile solution:

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the quick answer, but still it would be great if you can make me understand how does our phono solution can access the hardware from the browser when Apple/Android blocks it.

Our Phono Mobile solution includes native binaries for iOS and Android devices. Check out the link that I provided in my previous response. It shows you how to compile it using PhoneGap and deploy it to an iPhone. There is also a video on that page that walks you through the steps to do it.

The How-to-Video explains how to deploy an app with Phono but I am looking for a solution which should run from the mobile browser without installing any app in the Mobile. You can imagine I want something like Applet or Flash for mobiles which is not supported in Mobiles. I also see you support Flash or Applet for PC browsers but as you know mobile browsers doesnt support it.

That is what I am trying to explain.

Our web browser version requires either flash or java to stream the media. Since iOS does not support either flash or java, you will need to deploy phono as a native iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch app. You do this using Phono Mobile which uses native iOS and Android binaries *instead* of flash and java.

    I hope this explanation helps.
